offloadcms

About.

Small sites deserve to be fast, cheap, and readable.

offloadcms is built and operated by Henia, a sole proprietorship based in Vietnam. It is a small product with a narrow purpose: take the kind of site that has been quietly costing money on a WordPress host for years, and print it to the edge where serving it costs nothing.

01Why it exists

A great many sites are databases pretending to be documents. They publish a handful of times a month, they get modest traffic, and they rebuild every page from scratch on every visit — paying for a server, a database, a cache plugin, and eventually a security incident, all to serve text that changed last April.

Printing that site to static HTML removes the entire category of problem. No PHP to patch, no database to compromise, no plugin to abandon. What is left is files on a CDN, which is the cheapest and most durable thing the web has.

02The second reason: being readable

The way people find things is shifting from search results to answers. The crawlers behind those answers generally do not run JavaScript, so a site that assembles itself in the browser is invisible to them no matter how good its content is.

Static HTML with structured data is not a nostalgic preference here — it is the format that gets read. Every design decision in the publish pipeline follows from wanting the words to be legible to a machine that arrives, fetches once, and leaves.

03What it deliberately does not do

The shortest way to describe a product honestly is to say what it refuses.

  • No plugin system. Extensibility is how WordPress became both universal and unmaintainable. A fixed feature set is the trade being made, knowingly.
  • No shared multi-tenant database. One instance, one site, in your own Cloudflare account.
  • No per-request rendering on the public site. If a feature would require it, it either becomes a small function alongside the static files or it does not ship.

04Where it is right now

Early. The product runs real sites and the migration path is real, but the customer count is small and the documentation is younger than the code. We would rather you know that than discover it — see what is documented and what is not, and what we do and do not monitor.
